Director: Associate Professor Jan Dobrogowski, PROFESSOR
Postgraduate Medical Training Centre of Jagiellonian University is an interdepartmental unit whose most important aim is to facilitate the access to the most recent developments in different fields of medicine. Because of a dynamic progress of medical knowledge and new approaches to treatment it is necessary to ensure constant learning not only to young doctors but also those who are more experienced and in a specialised practice. In our actions we must take into consideration Polish regulations governing education of medical doctors and nurses, directives of the European Union as well as recommendations of national and regional consultants in different medical fields.
We also cooperate with medical associations, non-governmental organisations and with the District Chamber of Physicians and Dentists in Krakow.
Our activity consists of various actions that encompass courses obligatory for specialty training, non-obligatory courses improving skills, postgraduate studies, conferences and congresses and support to foreigners who intend to start their specialty in Poland.
Division for Postgraduate Training of Foreign Medical Doctors was founded as a part of this Centre, according to the decision of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, and has been active since October 1, 2002.
The main purpose of the Division is to support the process of postgraduate training of foreign medical doctors at the Medical College.
